You know what is going to happen to you?  I don’t know if you are going to die but you will get messed up.  You will break every bone in your body.  For that matter, you can’t even get up there because it is all locked but let’s say you could. I don’t care how much you believe something is true and how sincere you are and how much you say, “Surely this has got to be it.”  Truth is truth.  The law of gravity is real.  What goes up is going to come down.

In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus said something else that’s very unpopular.  He said something else is not politically correct.  “Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and many enter through it.” We are talking about a narrow gate.  We’re talking about a wide gate.  We are talking about a road that’s broad and we are talking about destruction.  Many people enter through it.

Look at verse 14, “But small is the gate, and narrow the road that leads to life and only a few find it.  We don’t really worry about the divinity of Jesus.  We are fine with that.  But the exclusivity of Christ, the fact that Jesus is exclusive, really messes with a lot of us.  We just can’t handle it.  We think, “That’s just intolerant.  All these people who were away from God, you mean God is just going to hurl them to hell?  Then all these people who were sincere about these other world religions, I just can’t understand that, Ed.”
